The Chase Suite Hotel is currently seeking a Sales Manager, who will focus on SMERF business to join our dynamic team. Our ideal match lives for cold calls, stealing business from the competitors and snooping around for new business. Our hotel is a unique property that requires a unique salesperson.  We’re an independent chain that loves creative thinking and “out of the box ideas” to build revenue.  We want someone who is not satisfied until they achieve a RevPar index of over 100%.  If you enjoy energetic, fun-loving people who are passionate about guest happiness then we want you applying for this job!  If you rely on a “points program” and a name brand, this is not the hotel for you.  Core competencies:  energetic, persistent, adaptable, flexible, motivational, positive.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

-Hotel Sales experience and contacts with Corporate/Preferred Businesses

-Excellent knowledgeable about the local area, including attractions, local businesses and what brings travelers to the local area
- Excellent communication skills including active listening and ability to probe for details that will close a sale.

- A problem solver; able to tell when things are going wrong, and have the ability to come up with the right answers and steps to fix the problem.

-Ability to analysis reports such as Sonar, Star and Hotelligence and utilize the information to find new business.

-strong financial acumen; ability to find the best combination of rate and occupancy in every deal and understands that sale in “done” until the guest has paid the bill and made the next reservation!


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


-Able to sell ice to an Eskimo; smile in the face of adversity and fight for your piece of the pie

-Able to work nights and weekends if needed

- Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time (maximum 5 hours at a time, 10 hours in total/day)

- Ability to work on a computer for extended of time (maximum 5 hours at a time)

- Ability to speak and hear on a phone within a shared work space

- Able to drive a car in all weather conditions.

- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds.

The Chase Suite Hotel located in beautiful Kansas City, MO, is currently seeking a highly motivated Director of Sales, with strong initiative and sales ingenuity. Ideal candidate must have a proven hospitality sales background.  Must have sales experience in hotels of similar size and quality.    Must be able to drive sales. direct the sales efforts of the hotel, make outside sales calls, obtain new and manage existing key business accounts, conduct site tours and drive revenue.

We are currently seeking a part-time, Design & Purchasing expert to join our dynamic team. Our ideal match has the experience to integrate the company vision and design concepts with guests needs. Our hotels are unique properties that require a unique design approach.  We’re an independent chain that loves creative thinking and “out of the box ideas” to build revenue. This position establishes design specification standards for all hotels and establishes reputable vendors from which hotels will purchase.  The Design & Purchasing Manager sees the process through to completion: from establishment of specifications to payment for work completed, ensuring costs are correctly allocated and funds drawn from the correct source. Candidates should be experienced in purchasing for hotels and have positive relationships with key vendors to be able to purchase directly with manufactures ensuring the best possible price.
